Claud Butler became involved in cycle racing way back in the late 1920’s; he opened his first bike shop in 1928. During the ‘30’s his specialist Race and Touring ranges went from strength to strength. Claud’s handmade bikes were first seen by a worldwide audience at the Copenhagen World Championships in 1931 and the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1932.

Throughout the brands long history it has became synonymous with high quality workmanship and technical innovation. Today the Claud Butler range is based in North Lincolnshire, close to the Humber Bridge. The product has developed dramatically from its roots in Road and Touring Bikes into Mountain Bikes, City Bikes and now the latest new addition, Claud Butler Juniors. Before the next generation of Claud Butler bikes are designed they first identify specific areas where form and function can be improved. The components best suited have been tested and in many instances they have been able to introduce innovations that are at the forefront of cycling technology.
